“Putting the Safety back into Production”

AUMS is very proud of its safety management system incorporating extensive, workable safety procedures which have been developed, by Barminco Limited, and implemented successfully in our West African Operations, where our motto is “Attitude is the key to Safety”. This “attitude” can be witnessed by our impeccable safety record to date.

Our safety management system is supported by Barminco’s Integrated Management System which is certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 and AS/NZS 4801:2001 and is compliant with AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004. Regular internal and external audits are conducted to ensure AUMS remains compliant. As a large organisation with extensive experience we have had the resources to develop a sophisticated safety management system infrastructure which automatically includes appropriate checks and balances to ensure we meet our primary goal of SAFE production and that we are able to provide all of our operations with the highest level of support in the areas of environment, health and safety.

AUMS have been pro-active in developing and improving safety, health and environment policies, training and associated procedures.

Employees are continually assessed on all training requirements and processes and procedures are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure all personnel receive the training necessary to complete their job safely. AUMS have entered into a partnership with Registered Training Organisations and are working toward training all personnel to the Australian National Standards.
